A film with dexterity and dedication, ‘Somu Sound Engineer,’ is billed as a technician’s film, with all of its crew hailing from northern Karnataka. This sound film, boasting a strong background, story, screenplay, and music, among other elements, had its trailer unveiled by top-notch director Duniya Soori and actor-producer Daali Dhananjaya.

‘Somu Sound Engineer’ is set for release on March 15, and its director, Abhay, hails from Duniya Soori’s camp.

Somu Sound Engineer is poised to entertain audiences with its compelling story. Esteemed director Soori remarked, “The movie is haunting.” That’s the truth. There are many layers to the film. We seek stories from that region. We’re transitioning to a different format from one film to another. Filming isn’t uniform; it’s diverse. I observed a significant growth in Abhay’s work. The team ventured to a location and toiled hard. That’s the level of skill these boys possess. If the audience perceives quality, they’ll flock to theaters, as Soori mentioned.

Dolly Dhananjay expressed hope that Somu Sound Engineer would make a resounding impact. Soori’s presence indicates the quality of a good film; he doesn’t endorse everything. When he talks about a movie, it means it’s worth discussing. Music director Charan’s praise further indicates the film’s caliber. The involvement of renowned distributor Jayanna means a great deal for the film’s quality. He admitted to shedding tears. Abhi and I have collaborated on Tagaru, Salaga, and Popcorn Monkey Tiger; I’m familiar with his work, stated Daali Dhananjaya.

Director Abhi mentioned that this movie commenced with the blessings of his mentor, Duniya Soori. “Make a film in your region and language,” he advised. After completing the script, I shared it with Soori. We received his feedback and then proceeded to shoot extensively in the northern part of Karnataka.

Protagonist Sreshta expressed gratitude to Soori and Dhananjay for gracing the occasion. Thanks to everyone who provided me with this opportunity. The entire team has done commendable work. I portrayed the role of Somu. The movie depicts the life of a boy immersed in violence, he added.

The reason why Somu Sound Engineer is garnering so much attention is due to Abhi. Besides Abhi, technicians from Salaga and Tagaru have worked on this film. While Charan Raj composed the music, Dhananjaya Ranjan and Nagarjuna Sharma penned the lyrics, and Abhi collaborated with Manju Masti on the dialogues. The film was edited by Deepu S Kumar, while Shiv Sena, known for Salaga and Bhima, handled the cinematography.

Renowned dialogue writer Manju Masthi outlined Sreshta’s struggle, praising his ingenuity in the cinema industry. Debut director Abhi’s work has been lauded for its excellence, according to Manju Masthi.

Shruti Patil played the role of Shrestha’s heroine, with Jahangir, Apoorva, Yash Shetty, and others in supporting roles.

As a producer, Christopher Kini’s support for the film is invaluable, as he helped realize the dreams of newcomers.
