Produced by Ganesh Prabhu BV under the banner of Hindustan Mukta Media Entertainer, directed by award-winning director K. Shivarudraiah, and starring Prakash Belawadi, Rajesh Nataranga, and Venkatesh Prasad in lead roles, “Signal Man 1971” will release in August.

Set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war of 1971, the film narrates the life story of a “signal man” who works for twenty years at a railway station where no one gets off or on. After spending two decades in a place devoid of human contact, he becomes disoriented. Upon regaining clarity, he evolves into a person needed by both the state and the nation. Prakash Belawadi plays this pivotal role. Most of the shooting took place on a railway station set in Ooty.

The film is produced by Ganesh Prabhu, with cinematography by Shekhar Chandru, editing by Suresh Urs, music direction by Osepachchan, and art direction by Santhosh Panchal. The film has been screened at numerous international film festivals, including the Bangalore International Film Festival, Chennai International Film Festival, Mumbai International Film Festival, and Bangladesh International Film Festival, said director K. Shivarudraiah.

Producer Ganesh Prabhu said, “This is the first film produced by our company, and I have also acted in it. We will release the film in August. I attended the International Film Festival of Bangladesh, where our film won the Best Future Film Award. I was thrilled to hear the encouraging feedback from the audience there about our film.”

Actors Rajesh Nataranga, Dimpy Padya, cinematographer Shekhar Chandru, and executive producer and actor Venkatesh Prasad also addressed the media.
