Has the talented director Vijaya Prasad changed his style to sizzle on the silver screen? It seems so. At the first media meeting of his sequel film ‘Sidlingu 2,’ he firmly announced that there will be only a single meaning but not a double meaning in the dialogues of his film. That means his previous films Tothapuri Part I and II taught him lessons.
‘Sidlingu’ appeared 12 years ago, and in this sequel, Vijaya Prasad is adding more quality to his narration of the story – he is bringing in relationship values, comedy, love, lyrics, and music and creating a different style.
Srihari Reddy, the producer of Jamaligudda, is producing this film under his Niharika Films banner. Srihari Reddy, a resident of Shettihalli Ward near Abbigere, held the muhurat of the film at a temple.
Vijay Prasad has cut down on double-meaning dialogues and is going to make Sidlingu-2 with new vigor and enthusiasm. There will be only one meaning here. There is no double meaning, he promised. Also, he thanked the producer who believed in him when nobody else could. This time, Vijaya Prasad promises that this sequel movie can be seen by everyone from 6 to 60 years old.
Lead actor Yogi said, “Sidlingu” 12 years ago was a turning point in his career. Till now, I never got the chance to do a movie with fifteen-year-old Sonu Gowda. It is a pleasure to work together now. Ramya is not there, but Andalamma is in the cast.
Sonu Gowda is surprised by this offer to work in Sidlingu-2. Director Vijaya Prasad appreciated my role of Gayali in the Kiragurina Gayyaligalu film.
Anoop Seelin will be the music scorer; Arasu Antare lyrics will be for the film. Padmaja Raj, Antony Kamal, and Mahantesh will be in the big star cast. The shooting will start next week, and the team has decided to shoot in Bangalore and Mysore.
