The film Doora Theera Yaana, directed by Mansore, is scheduled for statewide release in Karnataka on July 11. Two songs from the film, already released, have been receiving public approval. Until now, the film team had only introduced the lead actor and actress. They have now begun introducing the rest of the cast, starting with the character Gauri, portrayed by Kannada actress Shruthi Hariharan.
Shruthi had earlier played the same role in Nathicharami, a film that marked a milestone in Kannada cinema history. Directed by Mansore, Nathicharami received five National Film Awards, setting a record for a single Kannada film. The film’s theme attracted significant attention and was also made available on Netflix, where it reached viewers in India and abroad.
Now, Shruthi Hariharan appears again in the role of Gauri in Doora Theera Yaana. The team has released a video introducing her character. The character Gauri from Nathicharami has been regarded as a notable one in Kannada cinema. It is uncommon for Kannada filmmakers to bring characters from one film into another, thereby building a cinematic world. The film has completed censor formalities and has received a U/A certificate. Promotional activities are ongoing. Actor Kichcha Sudeepa is scheduled to launch the film’s trailer digitally on Saturday, June 28 at 11:00 AM.
