Speaking on this occasion, Shivrajkumar said, “I was supposed to act in this film. But due to some reasons, it was not possible. Next time, not just a scene, let’s do a full movie together. You are like family to us. Here money is not a topic. It’s not for money; for other reasons, I couldn’t act in the film. Even if Mohan Babu doesn’t pay, it doesn’t matter. I will just come and act. I can do anything for love. You cannot buy love with money. Mohan Babu belongs to such a family,” he said.
Shivrajkumar said that courage is needed to make such films. The risk of making a mythological film has been taken. Watching the scenes feels wonderful. It seems people today have lost devotion and fear. Despite that, this film was made. This is a film made by Appaji. Even when I was doing films, I was scared. I said I wouldn’t do it. It was Appaji’s wish that I play Kannappa’s role. I did it. Now Vishnu is making this film, that made me happy,” he said.
Telugu popular actor and producer of Kannappa, Mohan Babu said, “Initially, Shivrajkumar was supposed to play the role of Shiva in the film. He did not agree whether I would pay or not. But acting was not possible. Give me the chance to act as the villain in your banner’s film,” he said. Not only that, everyone present on stage honored Shivrajkumar by presenting him with shawls.
