“Gummadi Narasayya” is the first Telugu film starring Hat trick hero Shivarajkumar. The movie is based on the life of former Andhra MLA Gummadi Narasayya, who was elected five times and lived a simple life. The muhurtha ceremony of this film was held today in a grand manner at Palvancha in Telangana.
At the muhurtha ceremony of the Gummadi Narasayya film, along with the cast, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Kavitha, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s wife Nandini Mallu, and several other political dignitaries were present. Geetha Shivarajkumar gave the clap for the film, minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy switched on the camera, and Nandini, wife of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, handed over the script to the director.
“Today, I am truly happy and proud to portray such a noble human being. For this opportunity, I thank Parameshwar and N. Suresh Reddy. My father also served people just like Gummadi Narasayya. He always said, ‘Don’t live for yourself, live for others.’ When I recently visited Gummadi Narasayya’s house, I felt as if I had returned to my father. Acting in his role is a blessing for me. I am learning Telugu for this film and will dub for myself. I hope to receive your blessings. This film will be an inspiration to all political leaders,” he said.
Gummadi Narasayya said “There must be change in this system, and that change must begin within us. We must stop deceiving one another — that is my only wish. I am not a great leader; I am an ordinary person like everyone else. Instead of glorifying me, I hope the film conveys what I believe in. Parameshwar has studied my life from childhood till now and is making this film. I am happy that Shivarajkumar is portraying my role. I hope that after the film is released, there will be change in society and in the system,” he said.
Director Parameshwar Hivrale is calling the action-cut for the life story of Gummadi Narasayya. Under the Pravalika Arts Creations banner, N. Suresh Reddy is producing this film. In the first look that has already been released, Shivanna appeared in a special look — wearing a dhoti and shirt, with a red shawl draped over his shoulder, and a bicycle to ride. This is the first-look poster of the film.
