In the realm of Kannada cinema, Dr. Shivarajakumar, often referred to as Karnnada Chakravarthy, is set to add another unique film to his repertoire with “Karunada King,” directed by Tamil filmmaker Karthik Advaith.
Recently, a 3-minute 49-second teaser of “Karunada King” was unveiled, produced by Sudhir, who previously produced “Killing Veerappan” directed by Ram Gopal Verma.
The trailer of Shivarajakumar’s 131st film was released to celebrate his birthday. It features a powerful introduction of the hero through a gritty dialogue at a police station. The poster declares the arrival of a storm, branding it as “the god of mass Shivanna 131.”
Interestingly, Shivarajakumar himself does not appear in the video. Instead, the film team heightens anticipation by revealing only a photo of Karunada King. The preview also includes the tagline “Chandamarutha Modala Mauna” and showcases actors Achyut Kumar and Ravindra Vijay.
Karthik Advaith, known for directing “Payum Oli Nee Enakku” starring Vikram Prabhu in Tamil, is making his debut in the Kannada film industry with this action thriller. Shivarajakumar will present a new look and a distinct role. The film’s muhurat is set for August, with the cast selection complete and the team eager to begin shooting. The music will be composed by the renowned multi-lingual composer Sam CS, cinematography will be handled by AJ Shetty of “Kabzaa” fame. Editing will be managed by Deepu S Kumar, with art direction by Ravi Santhehaklu. Dialogue writing duties fall to Prasanna VM, known for his work on “Ghost,” while screenwriter Jay Krishna, famous for films like “Sita Ramam” and “Radhe Shyam,” adds to the film’s strong creative team. The movie is produced by SN Reddy and Sudhir P under Bhubaneswari Production.
