Several artists and technicians who have worked with filmmaker Jogi Prem have gone on to establish themselves independently in the film industry. Comedian and character actor Shiva Manju has now joined that list.
Shiva Manju, who has been active in the Kannada film industry for the past 20 years as a supporting actor and comedian, is also stepping into direction, a fact not widely known until now. Having worked as an assistant director with Jogi Prem for nearly 12 years, Shiva Manju is making his debut as a director.
The script pooja for his new film was held last Sunday at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple in Nagarabhavi. The film is being produced on a large scale under producer Madhu’s banner, Mark Movie Makers.
Actor Harisanthosh, known for Congratulations Brother, attended the event and conveyed his wishes for Shiva Manju’s new initiative.
Shiva Manju stated that he has spent several months developing a strong concept and storyline for the film, which will be directed with a large star cast. This also marks the first production venture for producer Madhu, who is supporting the project.
Shiva Manju added that plans are in place to begin shooting soon, and that complete details regarding the film’s lead actors, supporting cast, and technical crew will be announced on the day the shoot commences.
