The motion poster of the film “Shikhandi” was recently unveiled. The film is produced by Pola Praveen Kumar under the Pola Movies banner and directed by Gurumurthy V, who had earlier directed “Marakastra.”
Producer Sanjay Gowda and directors Jadesh K Hampi and Naveen Reddy unveiled the motion poster and extended their wishes to the team. They wished success for the film. Following the unveiling, members of the film team addressed the gathering.
Director Gurumurthy V said that the character Shikhandi from the Mahabharata serves as the inspiration for the film’s story. Referring to the episode in which Shikhandi is reborn to take revenge, he said this aspect forms the central theme of the film. He stated that the movie has a family-oriented storyline incorporating elements of suspense, thriller, horror, and comedy. He added that producer Pola Praveen Kumar agreed to produce the film after listening to the story. The shooting has been completed, and there are plans to release the film in May. He also thanked the dignitaries who unveiled the motion poster.
Producer Pola Praveen Kumar said he is from Ballari and that this is his first production venture. He cited two reasons for producing the film: the story and director Gurumurthy’s passion for cinema despite being specially abled. He said they are presenting the film to the audience and sought encouragement.
Actor Yuvaraj Gowda said he was initially surprised by the film’s title but was pleased after hearing the story. He mentioned that he is from Mysore and that this is his first film as a lead actor. He said the name of his character is Surya and thanked the producer and director for the opportunity.
Actress Khyathi stated that this is her debut film. Actress Nikitha Swamy said she has played a significant role in the film. Bigg Boss fame Neethu and Chandini from Ballari spoke about their respective roles. Senior artists Raghu Ramanakoppa, Deepak Shetty, Vijay Chandur and others shared details about their characters.
Cinematographer Swami, music director Manjukavi, lyricist Kinnal Raj, background score composer Pradyothan, choreographer Jaggu Master and screenplay writer Dayashankar also spoke about the film “Shikhandi.”
