A long-standing film, ‘Shatabhisha’ (also a Nakshatra), is ready to hit the silver screen on June 28 in over 45 theaters. Distributor Raju is making arrangements for this sudden entry into theaters.
‘Shatabhisha’ is the name of a rain star. A movie under the same title is being produced and will hit screens across the state this Friday, June 28. A trailer launch event was held recently. As the police, terrorists, and some youths come together unexpectedly, problems arise. The story of ‘Shatabhisha’ is about how they face and overcome these challenges.
Directed by Venkatesh, ‘Shatabhisha’ is produced by Kashi Shekhar through Sri Durgi Vishnu Combines. Deepu Arjun stars as the hero, and Shobhita Shivanna (currently residing in the USA) plays the female lead. Director Venkatesh presents a unique take on the thief-cop dynamic in this film.
Four prodigal boys support the terrorists and get caught by the police. The film explores whether they can clear their names. The cinematography is by Thangapandian.
Talking about the film, hero Deepu Arjun said, “This is a story that resonates with the current trends. We shot in various locations, including Virajpet, Melukote, Hubli, Mumbai, Gulbarga, Bangalore, Chintamani, and Chennai. The film shows how a bully becomes a Naxalite, how Naxalites influence a boy, and how he meets the heroine, leading to a love story.”
“We were not initially interested in making a movie. The hero was the original producer. Later, they approached me, and I joined the team. The film is well made. I also play a cop. It’s a good story to watch with the family,” said producer Kashi Shekhar.
There are three songs in ‘Shatabhisha’ by Abhishek G, with music by Roy and lyrics by Anjan. Four action sequences are composed by Chandrabande and Ashok. Tennis Krishna, Appanna, Moogu Suresh, and Kuri Sunil play the remaining roles in the film.
