Under the banner of Sri Kannadambe Movies, M.B.R. (Manjunath B.R.) is directing the film Shale, produced by Nagu Sri S.N. The shooting of this children’s adventure story film was inaugurated at Dr. Leelavathi Memorial Bhavan. Dr. Leelavathi was deeply concerned about the welfare of children in government schools. Launching the film in front of the memorial of such a great artist is a fitting tribute.
Dr. Leelavathi’s proud son, Vinod Raj, clapped and inaugurated the muhurat scene of the film. Speaking afterward, Vinod Raj said, “With the blessings of our mother and God, the shooting of the film Shale has begun. May it be successful.”

In recent times, many government schools have been on the verge of extinction. This film narrates the story of three boys who strive to reopen such schools and fight to preserve the Kannada language and culture. The film also highlights aspects of education that are often overlooked in government schools. Director Manjunath B.R. mentioned that the shooting will take place in and around Kolar, Malur, and Chikkamagaluru.
The cast includes veteran actors Ramesh Bhat, Shankar Ashwath, Meese Anjanappa, and Balram Panchal, along with child artists Akshit, Pallavi, Yogish, and Jeeva. The film features four songs, and further technical team details will be announced soon.
