The spotlight is on the Kannada film ‘Shakhahari’ for various reasons, with the latest being its team’s participation in the Malnad state-level agricultural fair where they unveiled a pivotal song from the movie. The entire film crew actively engaged in sharing insights about the film during the state-level Agricultural meet held at Shivamogga.
Director Sandeep Sukand, known for his expertise in action cuts for short films, has penned the lyrics for the enchanting song ‘Saugandhika,’ performed by Siddharth Belmannu and Aishwarya Rangarajan. Mayur Ambekallu’s musical composition adds further depth to the song, featuring Vinay UJ and Nidhi Hegde as the young lovers.
Sandeep Sunkad, transitioning from action cuts to an independent director through ‘Sakhahari Cinema,’ leads the film.
Rangayana Raghu takes on the role of a chef, while Gopalkrishna Deshpande portrays a police officer. Sujay Shastri plays a pivotal role in the movie, with supporting roles filled by Pratima Nayak, Harini, Vinay UJ, Sriharsha Gobhatta, and Nidhi Hegde.
Produced by Rajesh Keelambi and Ranjini Prasanna, ‘Shakhahari’ boasts Vishwajit Rao’s cinematography, Shashank Narayan’s editing, and Mayur Ambekallu’s musical direction. Shot entirely in the hills, the film involves local talent, with production already completed. The team is currently immersed in post-production, targeting a February release. KRG Studios will handle the distribution of the film.
