The return of century film director Om Saiprakash is happening with the Kannada film September 10. It is centered around World Suicide Prevention Day, which the legendary director is bringing to the silver screen.

The well-known personality in social life, Dr. Raju—proprietor of Vijayanagara Hospital, former councilor, and known for various social works during the COVID-19 period—has stood behind the film September 10. Dr. Raju, liking the concept and making of the film, initially wished for some comedy elements, but nevertheless appreciated the overall execution and concept, and decided to support Om Saiprakash’s team. Dr. Raju says even if 10 people, after watching the film, cancel their decision to commit suicide, it would be a great achievement. In the coming days, he plans to collaborate with Om Saiprakash on future film projects.

Om Saiprakash, speaking at the teaser launch event, stated that after five years, his film is finally releasing. For September 10, he is taking up a 45-day campaign. He plans to travel across all districts of Karnataka to highlight the film’s concept. The film is expected to release in July, says Saiprakash. It touches on five different people in society and explores the struggles they face. Apparently, this is Om Saiprakash’s 105th film. He has gone through a series of trials and tribulations over the past five years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Om Saiprakash’s 100th film, based on Sri Saibaba, is under production on a lavish scale.

Saiprakash remembered the support of Dombara Krishna and said the encouragement he received was a major reason for pursuing the project further. In addition to Dr. Raju’s support, KARAVE Narayana Gowda has extended help for the statewide release of the film. Saiprakash also sought the support of media and audiences for the success of September 10.

Veteran actor Ramesh Bhat thanked Saiprakash for including him in the film. He plays a lawyer in the story. The film, he says, gives courage to those who feel bogged down in life. Ramesh Bhat urged the media to give good coverage for the film’s success.

Actor Shivakumar, who has acted in 17 films directed by Saiprakash, his wife Sriraksha, Ravindranath, cinematographer J.G. Krishna, Captain J.G. Rao—who has given permission to adapt his book into a feature film—Ganesh Rao, and others spoke at the teaser release event of September 10.
