The trailer of Sees Kaddi, directed by Rathan Gangadhar, has officially been released. During the press conference held for the trailer launch, the team shared several insights about the film. The event was made special by the presence of five talented directors as guests—Srini of Beer Biryani fame, Mahira director Mahesh Gowda, Dollu director Sagar Puranik, Ayush Malli, and Cheluvaraj.
Speaking at the event, director Rathan Gangadhar revealed the inspiration behind the film. He said that while reading a book, he came across a detailed description of a pencil’s intricacies. This sparked the idea to develop five characters, each representing an aspect of the pencil, and to create five stories that converge at a single point. This surprising union of stories, he said, forms the soul of Sees Kaddi.
The film also explores the richness of the Kannada language, incorporating various dialects such as Bengaluru Kannada, Havyaka Kannada, the rural dialect of Tumakuru, and the Mysore region’s Kannada, offering audiences a fresh linguistic experience.
Sees Kaddi is produced by Rathan Gangadhar, Sampath Shivashankar, and Krithi Nanayya under the banner of Grahana Productions. These childhood friends came together to make this film out of sheer passion for cinema.
Guest director Srini remarked that capturing the innocence of children in a fresh and engaging manner is one of the true challenges of direction, and Sees Kaddi seems to have done that effectively. He wished for the film to succeed commercially, stating that such meaningful cinema deserves recognition.

Ayush Malli, director of the recently released and successful film Pappi, expressed his hope that Sees Kaddi would receive the same kind of support and encouragement. The film blends five stories, five Kannada dialects, and five regions, weaving them into a cohesive narrative.
The film is shot by Sunil Narasimhamurthy, with music by K.C. Balasarangan, editing by Anirudh Harshavardhan, and costume design by Asha Thomas.
The cast includes Sitin Appayya, B.S. Ramamurthy, Manvi Balagar, Nonavinakere Ramakrishnaiah, Pratham Rajee Aras, Santosh Karki, Anushka Takkalaki, Sanjay Gowda, Shreshth Japtimath, Mahendra Gowda, Deepika Adtale, Raghavendra Bhat, Nagaraj Rao, Rekha Koodligi, Udaat, Jayanth Venkatt, Amoghavarsha, Anoop B.R., Sharmila Kartik, Abhilash Gowda, Gangadhar, Abhishek, Akul, and others.
