VLOGGERS UNVEIL ‘SEAT EDGE’ TRAILER

The trailer of the Kannada suspense-thriller Seat Edge was released at a press meet held recently, with popular Kannada vloggers unveiling the promo. The film, headlined by Siddu Moolimani, is scheduled to hit theatres on January 30.

After Love You Muddu, Siddu Moolimani appears as the lead actor in Seat Edge, which is currently in the promotion phase. The trailer, titled Vlog-2: The Loop, introduces the film’s central theme that revolves around a YouTube vlogger and a ghost-hunting expedition.

The story of Seat Edge follows a young vlogger who attempts to create distinctive content to gain recognition. His videos become targets of online trolling, and during this phase, he falls in love. Following a mistake that leads to a breakup, he decides to visit a dangerous and feared ghost town to film a ghost-hunting video, despite opposition from his friends. The narrative focuses on whether he enters the ghost town, regains his relationship, and succeeds as a YouTube vlogger.

The film is presented in a dark comedy and horror-thriller format. Raviksha Shetty plays the female lead, portraying a middle-class college student who gets caught in trouble while accompanying the vlogger on the ghost-hunting journey. The supporting cast includes Raghu Ramanakoppa, Girish Shivanna, Mimicry Gopi, Lakshmi Siddaiah, Kiran, Puneeth Babu, Teju Ponnappa, and Manmohan Rai.

Seat Edge is written and directed by Chetan Shetty, who has previously worked as an assistant director on Kannada films such as Chemistry of Kariyappa and Critical Keerthanegalu. The film is produced by Giridhar T. Vasanthapura under the banner of N.R. Cinema Productions.

Speaking at the press meet, Siddu Moolimani said he plays the role of a YouTube vlogger for the first time and that the film is structured as a suspense-thriller. Raviksha Shetty spoke about her role and the situations her character faces in the film. Director Chetan Shetty stated that the film draws from the risks taken by vloggers and YouTubers to gain views and popularity on social media and highlights the consequences of venturing into unknown and dangerous spaces. Producer Giridhar T. Vasanthapura said the film places importance on CGI, graphics, and other technical elements and confirmed the January 30 release.

Actors Raghu Ramanakoppa and Girish Shivanna, music director Akash Parva, and cinematographer Deepak Kumar J.K. were present at the event and shared their experiences of working on the film.

The film was shot over a span of around 45 days across locations in and around Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru. The songs in the film feature vocals by singers Armaan Malik and Tippu.
