The common people’s solace for food grains is the Fair Price Depot — that is Sarkari Nyayabele Angadi. A film with that title has commenced song recording, and prominent actress Ragini Dwivedi is part of the cast.

A Kannada film titled Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi is getting ready to hit the screens. Actress Ragini Dwivedi, who has so far excelled in glamorous roles in the Kannada film industry, is preparing to appear in front of the audience as a village girl. Most of the script work for the film has already been completed, and the film team recently announced its title. Production has now kicked off with the recording of songs.

The songs for Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi, composed by music director Ananth Aryan, were launched at a function held at the Adichunchanagiri branch of the Math in Vijayanagara, Bengaluru. The event was graced by lead actress Ragini Dwivedi, ‘Karnataka State Government Ration Distributors Association’ president T. Krishnappa, actress Geethapriya, producers Teju Murthy and S. Padmavati Chandrashekhar, senior producers Bha. M. Harish and Bha. M. Girish, senior director B. Ramamurthy, and director Satwik Pawan Kumar, along with many other dignitaries, artists, and technicians from the film industry.

Ragini Dwivedi said, “This movie has a completely different story and character from what I’ve played so far. The entire story revolves around my character. It highlights what happens in food distribution in today’s society, revealing many shocking things we are unaware of. I truly like this role.” She added, “There are high expectations for the story and my character. I believe this will be a turning point in my film career.”

Teju Murthy and S. Padmavati Chandrashekhar are jointly producing Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi under the banner Jayashankara Talkies. Senior director B. Ramamurthy is writing the story, screenplay, and dialogues. Satwik Pawan Kumar, who recently directed Tayavva, is handling the cinematography and direction. Ananth Aryan is composing music for three songs.

Talking about the film, director Satwik Pawan Kumar said, “This is a film based on a true story. It reflects real events happening in the Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi. We are bringing this to the audience in an interesting way. Ragini Dwivedi plays a new role here — that of a rural woman running the Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi.”

The shooting for Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi will begin in March, with most of the filming taking place in the rural areas of Bangalore.
