The song launch ceremony for the much-anticipated Kannada movie Sanju Weds Geetha 2, produced by Chalavadi Kumar under Pavitra International Moviemakers, took place on the beautiful stage of Ambedkar Bhavan. The song, featuring Thuppada Bedagi Ragini Dwivedi, was released by Jnanaprakash Swamiji of Chalavadi Mahasabha. Basanagi Swamiji was also present at the event.
Chalavadi Mahasabha President Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, who was present at the same event, said, “Our brother Kumar has now taken his first step as a producer in the film industry. He has produced this film lavishly, and our own community member Nagasekhar has directed it. I hope the film helps address societal shortcomings, and I wish it great success. Nagasekhar has written the story, screenplay, and directed the action in this film. Sanju and Geetha’s love story is set against the backdrop of the struggles faced by silk farmers. In this film, Srinagar Kitty plays a silk farmer, while Rachitha Ram stars as the heroine.”
Speaking to the media later, producer Chalavadi Kumar expressed his excitement about Ragini’s performance in the song, which was composed in a unique style. He said, “The song has turned out brilliantly. This is a true family story, reminding me of Dr. Rajkumar’s films. Rachitha Ram, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhukokila, Tabalanani Sampath, and many other big artists have acted in it.”
Director Nagasekhar shared that they shot for 72 days in stunning locations from Sidlaghatta to Switzerland. “Today, the first song of our film was released on such a grand stage. The film is in the re-recording stage, and the first copy will be ready in about a month. We are excited that Gokul Films has already purchased our film even before its release. We are ready to announce the release date soon. The film has five songs, though one song still requires permission from Lahari Sansthan. While making this film, the challenges faced by farmers in Sidlaghatta came to light, and thanks to producer Kumar’s support, the film has been produced lavishly. Along with the love story of the present day, there is also a surprise in the film,” he said.
Srinagar Kitty, portraying a silk farmer for the first time, appears in the first song released today. “I, along with Rachitha Ram and Ragini Dwivedi, acted in this song under Nagasekhar’s direction. We released this song in the presence of leaders from across the state.”
Actors Chetan Chandra and Ragini Dwivedi appear in special roles. The film’s cinematography is by Satya Hegde, with songs composed by Sridhar V. Sambhram. The action direction is handled by Different Danny. Ragini Dwivedi, Chetan Chandra, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Tabalanani, Gitchigiligili Vinod, and the villain Sampathkumar are all part of the film’s cast.
