Due to unavoidable circumstances, hat trick director Nagashekhar could not present his deep insight to the film ‘Sanju Weds Geetha 2’ in the first release. Now, he has come back again with a rehashed and refined version. This looks better than before.

‘Sanju Weds Geetha 2’ is a love story, as the title suggests. A weaver named Sanju (Srinagar Kitty) gifts a sari to Geetha (Rachita Ram), a wealthy woman who is going to the ‘Miss Karnataka’ competition. Wearing that sari, Geetha participates in the competition and is selected as ‘Miss Karnataka’. From there, their love story begins. Sanju and Geetha, who meet as strangers, develop a friendship, and they both become lovers and a couple. Nagashekhar says what happens in their lives over the next 10 years.
Along with the love story of Sanju and Geetha, Nagashekhar has tried to tell many problems of the weavers of Sidlaghatta in the film. Although Nagashekhar has tried to answer many unanswered questions through the new version, he has not been able to change the overall slow pace of the film. Although scenes of Rangayana Raghu and Sampath Raj have been added to make the film even darker, those scenes have someone else’s voice.
Everything else is going well. The film has a host of talented artists including Kitty, Rachita, Sampath Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Tabla Nani, Sadhu Kokila. However, none of them has any importance in acting. This is a pure technician’s film. The cinematographer Satya Hegde is the one who draws more attention than anyone else in the entire film. Satya has beautifully composed the entire film. Songs like ‘Maliyathe Baa…’ and ‘Avanu Sanju Ivalu Geetha…’ composed by Sridhar Sambhram are hummable.
Producer Chalavadi Kumar has given the film everything it needs. The purpose of the film is multifold. It deserves some lift from the family audience.
