The film Sanju Weds Geetha – 2, directed by Nagashekar, is set to re-release across Karnataka on June 6 with 21 minutes of newly added emotional sequences.
The film had already generated high expectations with its title. Those who have seen the film, including industry dignitaries, have expressed appreciation for its content, songs, narration, and camera work. Music plays a significant role in Nagashekar’s films, and the songs in this one have been well-received by music lovers.
A pre-release event for the film was held on Sunday evening, attended by several prominent figures from the film industry. They acknowledged the generosity of the producer. Actor Shivarajkumar, who was the chief guest at the event, released a key song from the film.
Speaking on stage, Shivarajkumar said that the film should reach the audience and praised producer Kumar for his effort and spending. He highlighted Satya Hegde’s camera work and noted that Nagashekar brings something unique to each of his films. He also appealed for media support when good films are released.
Veteran director S. Mahender stated that Nagashekar, his student, makes good films and that working with technicians like Kaviraj and Satya Hegde adds value. He said the producers have spent heavily on each frame and compared this to his experience with Snehaloka, which became a super hit upon re-release. He noted that Sanju Weds Geetha – 2 is built on the backdrop of the silk industry and features a love story.
Lead actor Srinagar Kitty said that the film has gained momentum and that the newly added 21 minutes include emotional scenes such as a father-daughter sentiment sequence. He added that the final song, written by Kaviraj, was released by Shivarajkumar and expressed confidence that audiences would like the film.
Producer Chalavadi Kumar, Nagashekar, lyricist Kaviraj, producer K.P. Srikanth, police officers, retired judges, and other dignitaries shared details about the film during the press conference.
The updated version of Sanju Weds Geetha – 2 will release statewide on June 6.
