The moment of pride has finally arrived for Sandesh, the producer and the son of the renowned Sandesh Nagaraj, as the film ‘Ghost’ is set to release on October 19th.
I follow in my father’s footsteps, and I acknowledge that only 10% of my contributions are original work, with the remaining 90% being guided by my father’s invaluable instructions. His astute and methodical approach has provided me with a strong foundation in the business aspects of the ‘Ghost Pan India’ film, ensuring its security.
Speaking with the media at Dr. Shivarajakumar’s residence on a Sunday evening, Sandesh announced that the film is set to make waves in multiple states and countries. Currently, out of 375 theaters in Karnataka, nearly 275 are in high spirits for the ‘Ghost’ release. While we are slightly delayed in Telugu, we are simultaneously releasing it in Hindi, Tamil, and Kerala.
On average, ‘Ghost’ is making its debut on over 1200 screens, with an average of four showings. The release of a few non-Kannada films may affect the number of theaters in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, but in Kerala, we will be releasing the Tamil version.
Sandesh noted that the success of ‘Ghost’ is greatly indebted to the brilliance of director MG Srinivas. The film’s budget was predominantly allocated to technical aspects, including set design. A substantial and opulent prison set was constructed at Minerva Mill, where 75% of the film was shot. Extensive work was put into VFX and other technical elements, which required significant time and resources. Investing wisely in the film’s technical aspects has been a source of satisfaction for Sandesh.
Undoubtedly, ‘Ghost’ stands as the most financially ambitious project to date for Sandesh Combines. The legacy of Sandesh Combines persists, promising more high-quality and contemporary films.
Meanwhile, in his hometown of Mysuru, the Dasara Festival has been abuzz with Sandesh organizing the ‘Ghost Procession’ to capture the attention of potential audiences.
In essence, the film’s producers are Shivrajakumar and Geetha. Their seamless and efficient management has been integral to the project’s success. Shivanna has previously appeared in two of our banner’s films, both of which were well-received. This marks his third film with Sandesh Combines, and we are hopeful for another triumphant run, with Dr. Shivarajakumar earning a well-deserved hat trick status for the banner.
The esteemed Dr. Jayanthilal Gada of Pen Studio has acquired the Hindi theatrical, satellite, and digital distribution rights for the Sandesh Combines project ‘Ghost,’ marking another significant achievement for Sandesh.
