Directed by Hemant Kumar under Hemant Productions, the legendary film “Samrat Mandhata” is gaining popularity day by day and has successfully completed 25 days at Ullas Theatre, Bangalore. Now, the film team, which intends to release the film across the state, shared some ideas in front of the media.
Director Hemant initially wanted to release the film in at least 20 theatres, but the team could not afford the rent. Then, distributor Radhakrishna came up with a theater. So far, not a single show at Ullas Theatre has lacked an audience. With the aim of reaching even more people, efforts are being made to release the movie in other centers of the state. Recently, the film was released in Koppal, where it is also receiving good collections. It is also planned to release the film in New Jersey, US, next month.
Now, we have fixed the ticket price at Rs. 60 for those aged 50 and above. Distributor Radhakrishna stated that the cooperation of the media is also needed to deliver the film to more people.
Nanjundappa, one of the producers, said that the movie is very good. This film is based on the theme of Shaneeshwara Swamy, played by Sundarbabu. He explains how to get rid of a curse, which is showcased in this film. Our film has demonstrated that people always like mythological films. He is optimistic about a 50 and 100-day screening of the film.
Theater artiste Basavaraju appears as Mandhata, Bharathi as Bindumati, Nanjundappa as Narada, Narasimhamurthy as Shoubhari Maharshi, and Manjunatha as Yavanashwa. R. Veerendrakumar has composed dialogue lyrics for “Samrat Mandhata.”
