The trailer of Sahara, a movie based on women’s cricket in Kannada, has been released. The trailer launch event was held at a private hotel in Bangalore. Former ACB player Gautham K released the first look of the film and wished the team all the best.
After the release of the trailer, cricketer Krishnappa Gautham said that this film tells the story of cricket. “The trailer is realistic. All the best to the team,” he said.
Actress Sarika Rao said, “This is an inspiring story. I believe I have played my role responsibly.” Director Majesh is bringing a female lead movie to the Kannada industry. He shared his happiness, noting that the support from Sudeep, Simple Suni, and Ashwini madam has helped the newcomers.
The story of Mandya as a cricketer is told in Sahara, which is the first female cricket lead movie in Kannada. Sarika Rao played the role of the Mandya girl. To prepare for the role, Sarika became a Ranji player and trained in cricket under Pawan.
Manjesh Bhagwat, who has worked as a co-director in the Kannada film industry for the past 8 years, is directing this film for the first time. Maa Creations is producing the film, with the director also responsible for the story, screenplay, and dialogue.
The rest of the star cast includes Manjunath Hegade, Kuri Sunil, Ankush Rajat, Ranjan, Manjula Reddy, and Prakash Shetty. The film, based on women’s cricket, has been supported by a PR agency, and the audio rights have been acquired. KRG is distributing the film.
Kichcha Sudeep has narrated the film, with Anthony Ruth Vincent handling the camerawork. Suraj Jois has composed the music, Thriller Manju has coordinated the stunts, and Santhosh Shekhar has handled the choreography.
