The eagerly awaited position of Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy has been awarded to popular comedy actor, music director, singer, and director, Sadhu Kokila.
The previous chairman was Ashok Kashyap, an ace cinematographer. Earlier, Suneel Puranik, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, Thara Anuradha, SV Rajendra Singh Babu, and TS Nagabharana held the same position.
The Congress-I ruled Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah appointed Sadhu Kokila, among other board Presidents, with effect from February 29. Sadhu Kokila’s affiliation with the Congress-I party and his participation in the last Assembly elections gained him recognition in political circles.
