Actor Vijay Raghavendra, seen in a dual role as a father and son in the film Rudrabhishekam, has completed the first schedule of shooting.
Director Vasanth Kumar has attempted to portray the cultural background, history, and glory of our country in a commercial format. The first phase of shooting lasted over 20 days in and around Devanahalli. Priyanka Timmesh, of Bigg Boss fame, stars in the film as the female lead.
The second phase of shooting is set to commence in the second week of February. In this phase, the talkie portions and two songs will be shot in Devanahalli and Vijayapura, while the remaining two songs are planned to be filmed in and around Malpe, Mangalore, and Agumbe.
Director Vasanth Kumar also appears in the role of a philosopher in this film. This character is integral to the storyline, alongside the dual roles of father and son portrayed by Vijay Raghavendra.
The film tells the story of an art form with a history spanning hundreds of years, rooted in the folklore of our country. The origin of the story revolves around the mighty god Veerabhadra. His arrival and the reasons for it form the crux of the narrative in Rudrabhishekam.
The director’s friends—Jayaramanna, Shivaram, Chidanand, Hadapada, Ramesh, Manjunath, Munikrishnappa, Ravi, Ashwath, and Anand—are producing this film under the banner of Fan India Creations.
Bal Rajawadi appears as the village chieftain in Rudrabhishekam. The film features music composed by senior music director V. Manohar and cinematography by Muthuraj.
