Director Vasant Kumar has crafted a commercial story with a historical backdrop of Veerabhadra Deva in the film Rudrabhishekam.

Actor Vijay Raghavendra plays a dual role as both father and son in this film. For the first time, he also portrays a Veeragase artist. Director Vasant Kumar aims to present the cultural heritage, history, and grandeur of our land through this movie. The first phase of filming was completed around Devanahalli, and recently, two songs were shot in the coastal region. These songs were filmed in unique locations such as Gokarna, Honnavar, Kumta, Abbakka Fort, and the backwaters of Aghanashini—places that have never been used for film shoots before.

The remaining two songs, action sequences, and dialogue portions will be filmed around Devanahalli and Vijayapura, as confirmed by director Vasant Kumar.

Bigg Boss fame Priyanka Thimmesh plays the female lead. Director Vasant Kumar himself appears in the role of a philosopher, a character that spans the entire film along with the father-son duo. Rooted in folk traditions, the movie brings to light an art form with a history of hundreds of years. Rudrabhishekam narrates the story of Veerabhadra Deva, exploring his origins and the reasons behind his arrival.

The film is produced under the Fan India Creations banner by director Vasant Kumar’s friends—Jayarama, Shivaram, Chidanand, Hadapad, Ramesh, Manjunath, Munikrishnappa, Ravi, Ashwath, and Anand.

In Rudrabhishekam, Bal Rajavadi plays the role of town Gowda. Veteran music director V. Manohar has composed the film’s music, while Mutturaj handles cinematography.
