The accomplished team behind the successful Kannada film ‘Gantumoote’ is returning with a unique twist in a love story. The cinematographer of ‘Gantumoote,’ Santosh Kelavadi, is making his directorial debut with ‘Kenda.’ The film’s motion poster has garnered significant attention.
Renowned director Roopa, who worked on ‘Gantumoote,’ is co-producing ‘Kenda’ alongside Sahadev at Ameyukthi Studios.
Notably, Rithwik Kaikini, the son of Jayanth Kaikini, is taking on the role of music director for this project, with Jayanth Kaikini contributing lyrics for two songs. Rithwik previously penned a song for ‘Popcorn Monkey Tiger’ titled ‘Maadeva.’
The poster adopts a rugged aesthetic, shedding light on the frustrations of the younger generation with crime and politics. The film’s protagonist is employed in a foundry factory, and the central conflict revolves around the challenges he faces.
Sahadev Kelavadi, who pursued his education abroad in film studies, is taking his first steps in collaboration with Roopa Rao. The cast includes actors with theater experience, such as BV Bharat, Pranav Sridhar, Vinod Ravindran, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, and others.
Shreyank Nanjappa, the Oscar award winner for ‘Elephant Whispers,’ is handling the sound design for the film. ‘Kenda’ is currently in the post-production phase and will soon be presented to the audience.
