The tall and well built actor known for Operation Alamelamma, Kavaludaari and a few ongoing projects like ‘Ramana Avatara’ has taken up a cop role again in ‘Rudra Garuda Purana’ Kannada film that went on the floors on Friday morning at Karanji Veeranjaneya temple. Actor Ninasam Satish sounded clap board for the muhurat shot of ‘RGP’.
KS Nandish, director of Chambal and Dear Vikram is directing this film besides writing story and screenplay for the film. Raghu Niduvalli is dialogue writer and Industrialist Lohith is producer. Priyanka Kumar is appearing as the female lead.
Apparently RGP is inspired from Karnataka Rathna Puneeth Rajakumar ‘Prithvi’. In this film Nandish was assistant to director Jacob Verghese. The film that connects the people is what I always aim for he says.
Rishi was apprehensive to do the cop role again. He had acted as a cop in Kavalu Daari but the story narration of director Nandish impressed him. I am a cop with a difference here. The theory expressed in ‘Garuda Purana’ is focused in this film. As I am in Rudra role, the title became Rudra Garuda Purana he says.
