KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have announced the rescheduling of the global theatrical release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, starring Yash. The film, which was originally slated for a worldwide release on March 19, 2026, will now arrive in cinemas on June 4, 2026.
The decision follows ongoing escalation and regional instability in the Middle East. Based on advice from one of the film’s major distribution partners, Phars Films, the producers chose to postpone the release due to disruptions in cinema operations across the Gulf region, identified as a key market for the film’s multi-language global rollout. The producers stated they have been closely monitoring developments in the region.
The announcement comes as the makers were preparing for a trailer launch event scheduled for March 8 in Bangalore, with media representatives from across the country expected to attend. The promotional schedule had already been finalized in line with the earlier March 19, 2026 release date.
Although the film’s first single, ‘Tabaahi,’ was ready for release on March 2, the makers decided to withhold the music video and pause the promotional campaign, which had been locked and was set to begin shortly.
In an official statement, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations said the film was conceptualized with the vision of reaching a global audience. Shot in Kannada and English, the makers stated that the film was designed to connect with viewers both in India and internationally. They noted that the prevailing uncertainty, particularly in the Middle East, has affected their objective of reaching the widest possible audience. The producers described the rescheduling as a considered decision made in the interest of distribution partners and audiences, and expressed gratitude for the support and patience of viewers.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups will now release in cinemas worldwide on June 4, 2026, in English and Indian languages.
The film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles. The film is written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas. It has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is scheduled for release on June 4, 2026.
