The Kannada film ‘Rangasamudra’ presents a delightful spectacle, featuring soul-stirring songs by MM Keervani, Vijayaprakash, and Kailash Kher, which have garnered significant acclaim. The film launched its captivating trailer at MMB Legacy on January 2nd, drawing a sizable audience.
The song by the renowned Kailash Kher, “Kailasa Bhumige Ilidu Banthu Nodiro… Untu Eno Untu,” and the rendition of “Hatturina Deepaviga Aaride” by Vijayaprakash and Oscar-winning music director MM Keervani received resounding applause even before the trailer’s unveiling.
Raghavendra Rajakumar, a stalwart of the Dr Rajakumar family (Dodmane), ceremoniously lit the lamp at the trailer release event. Expressing immense joy to be associated with ‘Rangasamudra,’ Raghavendra Rajakumar revealed that the script had been heard by Karnataka Rathna Puneeth Rajakumar, his brother, while he was alive. This connection prompted him to take on a significant role in the film, emphasizing the importance of ‘Education’ for children. Raghavendra Rajakumar pledged his support for the film’s promotional activities.
Director Rajakumar Aski explained that ‘Rangasamudra’ delves into the themes of ‘Dharma and Adharma,’ portrayed by Rangayana Raghu and Sampath Raj.
Rangayana Raghu, a leading actor in character roles, appreciated the film’s perspective on the insufficiency of school education for a child’s holistic growth. He conveyed this message through the character of his grandson, portrayed by Skanda Thejas, who is sent to the city to acquire diverse forms of education. The film highlights the notion that ‘Education,’ the only thing that cannot be stolen, is crucial. Raghu expressed his deep admiration for this concept.
In addition to Rangayana Raghu and Skanda Thejas, the film features Pratham, Kari Subbu, Sadanand, Ramesh Badiger, Jhenkar Bharat, Venkat Gowda, and others. Various key figures, including Desi Mohan (composer), Vagish (lyricist), Dhananjay (dance director), Moogu Suresh, Divya Gowda (an English teacher in the film), Karthik (a Kannada teacher in the film), and producer Hoysala Konanur (a politician and social activist), shared their thoughts during the joyous pre-release event of ‘Rangasamudra.’
