The team of the mythological fantasy drama Ramarasa, produced jointly by Zee Cinemas, Guru Deshpande Productions, and Seven Star Movies, has announced the release of a new poster along with a making video of the film.
The project is backed by Guru Deshpande and Vikram Arya, with Guru Deshpande also serving as creative head. The film is directed by two-time State Award winner B. M. Giriraj, known for Jatta and Mythri. The latest update focuses on a special character played by Prajwal Devaraj, whose poster is set to be unveiled.
Prajwal Devaraj appears in the role of ‘Guru Siddha’, a character rooted in the ‘Sudugaadu Siddha’ community, a nomadic tradition in Karnataka. The community is associated with cremation grounds and is referred to as “miracle men.” They are considered devotees of Lord Shiva and are known to travel across villages, engage in fortune-telling, perform acts of illusion, entertain people, and provide treatment using rare herbs. The film incorporates elements of this community’s practices and background through the character.
The cast of Ramarasa includes Karthik Mahesh, Sharan, Hebah Patel, Balaji Manohar, and Vaishali in key roles.
The technical team comprises cinematographer A. V. Krishnakumar (KK), music composer Bharath B J, art director Hosmane Murthy, action choreographer Arjun Raj, choreographer Murali Master, and editor Arjun Kittu.
According to the makers, the film has completed shooting and is currently in the post-production stage. The work is being carried out in studios located in Bengaluru and Chennai, and is said to be in the final phase. The team is planning to release the film in theatres soon.
The makers have invited media representatives to attend the event, where the poster and making video will be released, followed by a press conference. The event will be attended by Guru Deshpande, B. M. Giriraj, Prajwal Devaraj, Karthik Mahesh, and other members of the film team.
