Though Kannada cinema has seen many films on farmers, Ramanagara stands out with a unique and fresh narrative. Recently, the film’s songs and trailer were launched at a grand event. The revered seer of Bevuru Math in Ramanagara district released the songs and blessed the film team. Later, the cast and crew spoke about the film.

Despite being named after a place, Ramanagara is the story of a farmer—an educated, patriotic farmer. It follows a young man who, instead of moving to the city for a job, chooses to stay in his village and take up farming, becoming an inspiration to other educated youths. Director Vijay Raj stated that the film has shaped up as envisioned, and they are preparing for a Ugadi release.

Lead actor Prabhusurya highlighted that the film portrays the challenges faced by educated youth who wish to become farmers. “When a village boy aspires to be a farmer despite being well-educated, he has to endure criticism from parents, villagers, and society. People question why he isn’t taking up a job in the city. Some even doubt whether he is truly educated. Our protagonist faces all these hurdles but eventually emerges as an ideal farmer and a true patriot. Besides this powerful message, the film has all the elements that today’s audience expects,” he said.

Producer C.K. Manjunath, who is originally a businessman, expressed his excitement about his debut production and sought the audience’s support. Actors Shivakumar Aradhya, Thithi fame Thammaiah, and cinematographer Bharat India also shared their thoughts about the film. Music director Kevin has composed three songs, which have been released under Siri Music. “The songs are well-received,” noted Suresh Chikkanna.
