Ace stunt director of Kannada cinema, Dr. Ravi Varma, after making a name for himself in various languages, is now venturing into production with his first Kannada film, “Rakkasapuradol.”
The Muhurta ceremony of the movie “Rakkasapuradol,” starring Raj B. Shetty and marking the directorial debut of Ravi Saranga, was held during the Varamahalakshmi festival at the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple in Netkallappa Circle. Actress Rakshita and director Jogi Prem graced the first scene shoot of the film and unveiled the title. Supreet from KVN was the chief guest.
Ravi Saranga, who previously served as an assistant director for films like “The Villain,” “Ek Love Ya,” and “KD,” is making his debut as an independent director with this film. Popular actor Raj B. Shetty is playing the lead role. The Rakshita-Prem couple wished the film “Rakkasapuradol” great success.
The story of “Rakkasapuradol” is intriguing. Director Ravi has crafted a narrative designed to draw people to the cinema. Raj B. Shetty, who plays the role of a police officer, mentioned that this role is distinct from his previous performances.
“I have been working with Prem sir for the past ten years in the story, screenplay, and direction departments. I will always have his support. ‘Rakkasa’ means demon, and ‘Pura’ means town. The title signifies a town inhabited by demons. There are two qualities in man—good and bad. The bad qualities are referred to as ‘Rakkasa.’ It’s encouraging that producer Ravi Varma and hero Raj B. Shetty liked the story,” said director Ravi Saranga, adding that shooting will commence soon.
Producer K. Ravi Varma expressed his excitement, saying, “I’ve known director Ravi Saranga for two years. You’ve all supported me as an action director, and now this is my first film as a producer. Ravi Saranga has crafted a compelling story, and Raj B. Shetty is perfectly aligned with it. Kranti Kumar is penning the dialogues for ‘Rakkasapuradol,’ with music by Arjun Janya, cinematography by William David, editing by KM Prakash, and art direction by Mohan B. Kere. Production is handled by Narasimha Jalahalli. I am thrilled to produce this film.”
Music director Arjun Janya, who also wished success for the film, compared it to the epic “RRR,” hoping it will achieve similar acclaim.
Heroine Swatishtha Krishna, actor B. Suresh, actress Archana Kottige, and actors Gaurav Shetty, Siddanna, Suma, Anirudh Bhatt, cinematographer William David, dialogue writer Kranti Kumar, and Narasimha Jalahalli all shared their contributions to the movie “Rakkasapuradol.”
