Interestingly, the film draws inspiration from Rajinikanth’s earlier name, ‘Shivaji,’ from his days as a conductor in BTS, as depicted through the character Raj Bahadur, his best friend, in this newly launched Kannada film.
Raj Bahaddur, in a recent meeting, shared the title ‘Shivaji Bahaddur’ with Rajinikanth. Delighted with it, Rajinikanth expressed his happiness and promised to come to Bengaluru to watch the film.
However, it’s noteworthy that the director of ‘Shivaji Bahaddur’ is attempting to capture Rajinikanth’s voice by casting him in the role of the Prime Minister of India. This is done to engage in a dialogue with Raj Bahaddur, who plays the Chief Minister of Karnataka. The director, Aron Karthik, intelligently envisions a discussion on the topic of ‘Terrorism’ between the two characters.
During the media briefing of ‘Shivaji Bahaddur,’ Raj Bahaddur took a trip down memory lane, recalling his past experiences with Rajinikanth. He reminisced about their time as a conductor and driver in Bengaluru Transport Service, where he encouraged Rajinikanth to join the Madras Film Institute due to his impressive stage plays.
Facing financial challenges, Rajinikanth’s return from Madras was met with the news that K Balachander had suggested learning Tamil. Raj Bahaddur took the initiative to arrange for Rajinikanth’s Tamil lessons, leading to his breakthrough in films like Apoorva Ragangal.
Assuring that he would invite Rajinikanth to watch ‘Shivaji Bahaddur,’ Raj Bahaddur believes that this gesture would contribute to the film’s success, drawing parallels to the time when Rajinikanth’s presence boosted the popularity of the Kannada film ‘Super,’ which Rajinikanth attended after an invitation from Raj Bahaddur.
