Name changes are a frequent occurrence in the entertainment sector. A notable example is the renowned actress Malashri, who was initially known as Sri Durga before entering the Kannada cinema. In 1989, she adopted the name Malashri upon receiving it from Dr. Parvathamma Rajakumar for the film “Nanjundi Kalyana.” Similarly, the daughter of the well-known late producer Ramu, Radhana Ram, altered her name before her debut film “Kaatera,” featuring the esteemed star Darshan.
During the film’s inception, producer Rockline Venkatesh and Malashri, referred to as ‘Kaatera’ Malashri, presented her daughter as ‘Radhana Ram.’ However, upon the film’s conclusion, Malashri chose to rename her daughter as Aradhanaa.
Malashri, a respected figure in the Kannada cinema, engaged in discussions with producer Rockline Venkatesh and the film’s director, Tharun Sudhir, regarding the renaming of her daughter. She aspired to secure the name Aradhanaa for her daughter’s lasting presence in the cinema industry.
In affirming her decision, Malashri expressed that her daughter’s name, Aradhanaa, will persist in the future of the cinema industry.
