Actor, writer, and humanitarian Kranthi has explored a new subject for his second film. As the story writer and protagonist of ‘Raakha,’ he presents a fresh perspective on family bonds. ‘Raakha’ emphasizes the duty of children to care for their parents throughout life.
Karnataka Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi clapped for the muhurat shot, and well-known writer, actor, and director Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad cleared the first shot of the film at Kanteerava Studio.
Following the successful opening of his previous film ‘Srimantha,’ which focused on agriculture, Kranthi adds more depth to his concept with ‘Raakha.’ The film includes action scenes and avoids unnecessary elements. Kranthi plays a responsible son to the talented actor Manjunath Hegde.
‘Raakha’ marks the second directorial effort of renowned dialogue writer Malavalli Saikrishna, known from the ‘Jogi’ days. Kranthi’s insistence led Saikrishna to take up direction. The producer, Nagoor KB, prioritized content over commercial gain, which Saikrishna appreciated. The film will feature four songs and four action sequences. Theatre artists from Bijapur will play prominent roles, with the entire shoot taking place in Bijapur. Malavalli Saikrishna, with 25 years in the Kannada cinema industry, promises to deliver all the ‘Navarasas’ (nine emotions) through this film.
Producer Nagoor KB, a native of Bijapur and a devoted follower of Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji, was inspired to invest in the film by its relevant portrayal of the father-son relationship.
Amrutha plays a carefree girl in her third film, while Harini takes on the role of the mother. Raju Thalikote and Sachidananda Poojari handle the comedy track.
Nagarjuna is the cinematographer, tasked with the challenge of portraying Bengaluru within Bijapur locations.
