Under the banner of Kumar Movies, T. Gaurikumar is orchestrating the production of the film ‘Pritiya Huchcha’ – a story of fervent love. This poignant musical saga unfolds in two linguistic realms, Kannada and Tamil, bearing the title ‘Kaadal Paityam’ in the latter.

V. Kumar is credited with crafting the narrative, screenplay, and dialogues, while also assuming the directorial helm for this project. Marking Kumar’s sophomore effort, following his directorial debut with the horror flick “Gayatri,” this film draws inspiration from a real-life incident in Hassan during 1998-99. It chronicles the tragic journey of a naive young woman ensnared in the clutches of malevolence on her wedding night, delving into the subsequent trajectory of the heroine’s life in the red-light district of Mumbai and the despair of the bereaved hero. Director Kumar vividly portrays these elements in ‘Pritiya Huchcha’.

Spanning 65 days, filming traversed Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Sravanabelagola, and Kamatipur in Mumbai. Presently, the film undergoes post-production refinement, with plans to unveil the teaser and lyrical composition by the forthcoming Shivratri festival.

Headlining the cast, Suntistar Vijay assumes the lead role alongside Mumbai-based Kumkum as the heroine, with Shivayogi Guthammanavar embodying the antagonist. The film features four melodious tracks, orchestrated by J.N. Rangarajan, with Sunil KRS capturing visuals and Praveen Vishnu overseeing editing.

The ensemble cast includes Kalkal Chandru, Dubai Rafiq, Umesh Punga, Jogi Nagaraj, Purnima, V. Bhaskararaj, actor Killer Venkatesh, Bajrangi Raju, and Mahadevaswamy, alongside Geetha, Sunita, Pramod, Mahadev, Anand, among others. The film’s slated release is post-Ugadi, expected around April.
