The beloved star Nenapirali Prem’s new film, ‘2.0’, was flagged off on his birthday at the Bande Mahakali temple.
Prem, who previously captivated audiences with the movie ‘Appa I Love You’, has now embraced another project. This time, he’s not portraying the typical lover boy but has opted for a rugged avatar.
Prem commented, “Today is my birthday, and the film team had planned to celebrate this day. My friends inquired about the ‘2.0’ rebranding. Previously, we delved into action films, but there has been a considerable gap since then. Given that romance has been my trademark, the director devised a new storyline, and I gladly accepted the role. In the movie, I’ll be portraying a straightforward police officer. The script is finalized, although the climax is still under discussion. The full cast hasn’t been confirmed yet. Initially, we planned to commence the Muhurat ceremony in the coming days, but the director suggested celebrating it on my birthday, and thus, here we are.”
Additionally, after an 11-year hiatus, Prem returns to portray a cop, last seen in ‘Shatru’ where he portrayed an upright officer.
Young talent Tejas B.K. is both the story screenwriter and the director handling the action sequences. Music composition is by Vasuki Vaibhav, and Anand Meenakshi is handling cinematography. Madhu Gowda is the investor for this untitled project. The film team, having completed the Muhurta, is set to commence shooting by the end of this month. Rangayana Raghu will also play a significant role in the film.
