When the maestro of melody, Mano Murthy, takes on the role of music director, enchanting songs become the focal point for everyone. This holds true for the recent film ‘Pranayam’ as well.
The accomplished and delightful music director, Mano Murthy, has crafted five beautiful songs, two of which were previewed during the media meet. Nagesh Acharya has contributed equally competent cinematography, providing significant support for the film’s lead actors, Rajavardhan, Naina Ganguly, and producer Paramesh.
Producer Paramesh, known for his outstanding films such as ‘Palakki,’ ‘Ganapa,’ and ‘Parijatham,’ now presents an intense love story to the audience through the film ‘Pranayam.’ Under the banners of Manasvi Ventures and P2 Productions, Paramesh has both written and produced the film. Dattatreya is credited with the screenplay and directing the action scenes.
The trailer and songs have been showcased, with the film scheduled for a statewide release on February 9.
Former Deputy Mayor Mohan Raju unveiled the trailer, noting the title’s resonance in both Kannada and Telugu. He extended his best wishes to the film’s team, expressing appreciation for both the songs and the concept.
Speaking at the event, music director Mano Murthy emphasized the film’s five songs and praised the exceptional cinematography. He predicted ‘Pranayam’ to be the first blockbuster of the year.
Eminent poet Jayant Kaykini commended producer Paramesh for his passionate dedication to filmmaking. He highlighted the enduring excitement and commitment that has characterized their 17-year collaboration.
Upon reading the script, the producer expressed immense satisfaction, commending its quality. After thorough location scouting, the team found the perfect spot in Madikeri for the shoot. Director Dattatreya acknowledged the remarkable collaboration and contribution of all involved, particularly praising Nagesh’s cinematography.
In a lengthy speech, producer Paramesh shared his journey with the film, emphasizing its universal appeal.
Rajavardhan, essaying the role of Gautham returning from abroad, shared insights into the film’s narrative. He praised the intense nature of his character and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with legends like Mano Murthy and Jayant Kaykini.
Acknowledging the challenges of releasing a film, Paramesh expressed concerns about the financial aspects, emphasizing the need for two crores for a successful release. Despite three unsuccessful attempts, he remains optimistic, believing in the audience’s support.
The film features picturesque locations like Chikkamagaluru and Madikeri, with Jhankar Music releasing the songs. Renowned singers such as Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghoshal contribute to the musical score.
Govindegowda, Manthan, Prashanth, Samiksha, and Priya Tarun play key roles, while Madan and Harini handle dance direction, and thriller experts Manju and Mass Mada contribute to the action sequences in ‘Pranayam.’
