With the filming of a duet song, the shooting of “Cheeta” starring Prajwal Devaraj and Megha Shetty has been completed.
Produced by Mrs. Prathibha under the Rajalakshmi Entertainment banner, “Cheeta” marks the directorial debut of choreographer Raja Kalai Kumar and stars Prajwal Devaraj and Megha Shetty in the lead roles.
The shooting of the film has now been completed. The filming concluded with the shooting of a duet song featuring Prajwal Devaraj and Megha Shetty on a grand set erected at Rockline Studio.
Speaking on the occasion, director Raja Kalai Kumar said that it has been 25 years since he entered the film industry, working as a dancer and choreographer. This is his first film as a director. “Cheeta” is a story set in a market and revolves around a boy who is born and brought up there. Prajwal plays that character. He portrays a fighter who takes on the irregularities happening in the market. The film contains all the elements that audiences expect, including love and sentiment. Since the story is set in a market, a massive set was constructed under the leadership of art director Shivakumar in the HMT premises, where most of the shooting took place.
Filming was also done in Ramanagara and Kolar. The film has five songs and six action sequences. Around 150 to 200 junior artists participated in the shoot every day.
The cast includes Prajwal Devaraj, Megha Shetty, Rangayana Raghu, Shruthi Hariharan, Chinni Prakash (choreographer), Guru Jaggesh, Shivaraj K.R. Pete, Sunil (Telugu), Sridhar, Bal Rajwadi, and Tennis Krishna.
Producer Prathibha has mounted the film on a grand scale without any compromise. Today, with the filming of a duet song on three different sets erected at Rockline Studio, the shooting of “Cheeta” has been completed. With the support of the team, “Cheeta” is shaping up well. Impressed by the outcome, the producer is planning to make another film soon with the same team, he said.
As mentioned by the director, I play the role of an orphan boy who grows up in the market. Everyone there loves me without any caste or religious discrimination, and I love them equally. I fight against various illegal activities happening there, including a chemical mafia. “Cheeta” will create a huge impact in the market. Audiences will get a glimpse of it in the teaser and trailer. Today is the last day of shooting. I feel satisfied to have acted in a good film. Kalai Master’s direction, the performances of the co-artists, and the work of the technicians have all been excellent. “Cheeta” will be a film that everyone will like, said hero Prajwal Devaraj.
Talented heroine Megha Shetty said that she is appearing in a role she has never done before and thanked director Raja Kalai Kumar and producer Prathibha for giving her the opportunity to act in the film.
Producer Prathibha said that as mentioned by the director, the shooting of “Cheeta” has been completed. All the artists, including Prajwal Devaraj, have acted well, and the technicians have done an excellent job. On this occasion, she expressed her gratitude to the entire film team.
