The film conveys the message that good ideals should triumph, and this thought-provoking narrative marks the accomplished debut of the neurosurgeon, Dr. DN Varadaraju, in the film industry. It emphasizes that what we contribute to society is more significant than what we gain from it. The film brilliantly showcases the efforts of the doctor and his team in this direction. The latter half, which focuses on forming a Karnataka Swabhimana Paksha and providing a benevolent government to the people, deserves appreciation. Nevertheless, the question of whether this aspiration will materialize in reality remains unanswered.
The concept of having a one-day Chief Minister was portrayed in two films, ‘Mudhalvan’ and ‘Nayak,’ featuring Arjun Sarja and Anil Kapoor, respectively. These movies received an enthusiastic response from the audience. Similarly, the idea of ‘Praja Rajya’ in the current film also brings relief to the audience, but its practicality remains uncertain.
Dr. DN Varadaraju, Achyuth Kumar, Sampath Maitreya, and Vijay Bhargav find themselves in a precarious situations, facing insults and challenges. In search of a new approach, they turn to Dharmendra (Dynamic star Devaraj), who has recently been released from prison. Along with a lawyer, Sudharani, and a doctor, Kiran, this thought-provoking team introduces a wave of change that shakes the ruling party with their ideals.
In the film, the Karnataka Swabhimana Paksha emerges victorious in the Assembly elections (correction: it is 224 not 234 seats in Karnataka). The new government brings significant transformations in administration, healthcare, education, economy, and attempts to address issues like Hindu-Muslim clashes.
The rapid rise in the popularity of the Chief Minister and his people-friendly initiatives stir disgust among the opposition. However, the plot takes an intriguing turn when the Chief Minister’s car collides with a heavy vehicle. To witness the aftermath of this incident, one must watch the sequel of ‘Praja Rajya.’
Dr. DN Varadaraju delivers an impeccable performance, while Devaraj, Sudharani, Sudha Belawadi, Nagabharana, Achyuth Kumar, and Vijay Bhargav provide excellent support. Divya’s presence adds beauty and promise to the film.
The movie stands out for its well-crafted dialogues, delightful songs, and captivating cinematography.
Missing out on watching this film means missing out on something you truly desire. Rest assured, Dr. DN Varadaraju’s operation is successful.
