Crafted in a short timeframe, the Kannada film “Politics Kalyana” brings forth valuable content infused with a comedic flair. Imagine the intersection of politics and a meticulously organized marriage hall – this intriguing concept was conceptualized by J.M. Prahallad, a writer adorned with national and state awards.
With a portfolio boasting over 8000 TV serial episodes, Prahallad took on the roles of storyteller, screenwriter, dialogue writer, and lyricist for this film. Collaborating with his long-time friend Ganesh, the film materialized. JM Prahallad, drawing parallels with the legendary Master Hirannaiah, known for his groundbreaking work in writing, acting, and directing stage plays, mentions that the film seamlessly blends corruption and comedy in its content.
Ganesh Krishnamurthy, a producer with a history of crafting TV serials and documentaries since 1994, expressed concerns about the current status of producers in society. He emphasized the need for small and medium-budget cinema to capture the audience’s attention to ensure the sustainability of content-driven films.
Renowned music director and director V Manohar, who also acts in the film, commended JM Prahallad’s storytelling prowess, citing his in-depth knowledge of the ‘Puranas’ and skill in weaving narratives.
Directed by Kavi Rajesh of NFDC, the film received praise for its social message injection. Shot during the off-season of marriages in a Kalyana Mantapa, the film features Sasya among the six pairs of heroines, with Pankaj S Narayan absent from the songs and trailer release event.
Rohan Desai contributed to the film’s musical score, editing, and cinematography. Dance masters Tribhuvan and Prabhu showcased their skills, and Aiplex Audio Mohan handled the song releases.
