Renowned three-time Grammy award recipient Ricky Kej has once again graced this year’s Indian Independence Day with a remarkable creation, adding yet another accolade to his illustrious career. In celebration of Independence Day on August 14th, Kej unveiled a captivating 60-second video.

This rendition of the Indian National Anthem, expertly composed by Ricky Kej and performed by a symphony of over 100 skilled musicians from Sybonic, was masterfully recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, marking a historic achievement. The release of this rendition took place on August 14th, symbolizing a harmonious tribute to the occasion.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was effusive in his praise for Ricky Kej’s latest musical endeavor, stating in a tweet that every Indian should take pride in this outstanding composition. Kej himself expressed his sentiments about the remarkable venture, recounting his experience leading a 100-piece British orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in a rendition of India’s National Anthem. The grandeur of the recording, culminating in the emotive “Jaya He” finale, left him deeply moved and proud to be an Indian composer.

Ricky Kej, a notable music director in the Kannada film industry, has previously secured his first Grammy awards for his exceptional work on Divine Tides and Winds of Samsara. This extraordinary achievement, alongside his Best New Age album accolade, establishes an impressive trifecta of international honors for a talented artist hailing from Karnataka with Punjabi roots.
