Renowned actor, producer, director, and host Kichcha Sudeepa compares success and failure to seasons, emphasizing that the best way to navigate them is by continuing to make films.

Sudeepa shared these thoughts during the trailer launch of Vinay Rajkumar’s film Pepe. The movie is set to release on August 30th, and Sudeepa unveiled the trailer on Sunday evening at a grand event in Bangalore.

Speaking about the current state of the Kannada film industry, Sudeepa remarked, “The Kannada film industry, now 90 years old, has grown into a large Banyan tree. It has endured various seasons, and in Sandalwood, success and failure are like seasons. The number of failures in Kannada cinema is significantly higher than the success rate. I, myself, have had many failures in my career. However, that does not define a person. The best way to overcome it is to keep making films and trust the audience. If the audience believes the work is good, they will definitely support it.”

Regarding Pepe, Sudeepa added, “I have been releasing many trailers and teasers recently. I get excited when I see good work. Vinay, who has so far been known for ‘Chocolate Boy’ roles, has matured with Pepe. The real journey of the actor begins now.”

Pepe is an action thriller where Vinay takes on the role of a gang leader for the first time. The film is written and directed by debutant Srilesh S. Nair, and produced by Uday Shankar S. and B.M. Sriram. The movie has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Regional Board of Film Certification.

The film features Medini Kelamane, Yash Shetty, Kajal Kunder, Aruna Balraj, Naveen D. Padil, and Bala Rajwadi, with cinematography by Abhishek Kasaragodu, editing by Manu Shedgar and music by Poornachandra Tejaswi.
