Traveling 3,000 kilometers over 80 hours to create a film that excels in content, performances, and technical execution is no easy feat. The world is a stage of hidden drama! How it unfolds in the 160-minute # Paru Parvathy is fascinating to watch.

Producer PB Premnath of 1836 Pictures has made an impressive debut. #Paru Parvathy offers a rich cinematic experience, and director Rohith Keerthy’s team delivers an admirable film for cine-goers. The film captivates in many parts, though the length is a concern. Trimming 20 minutes would have made it crisper and tidier. Nevertheless, it is worth watching for its earnest attempt and fine presentation.

The film addresses the contemporary issue of children staying away from their parents, who end up feeling neglected. While grown-up children may provide an aristocratic lifestyle, the intimacy and humanity often go missing — a sad truth of today’s world. As a software engineer living abroad for decades, producer Premnath likely found this aspect particularly relatable and appealing to the present generation.

Paru (Poonam Sarnayak), with five grown-up children, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, feels lonely. Tired of constant advice without anyone listening to her desires, she decides to elope with her best friend, Payal. This marks the beginning of a transformative journey spanning 3,000 kilometers over 80 hours.

Payal (Deepika Das) is a solo-trip specialist with numerous admirable qualities. She’s an ace blogger with a massive YouTube following, a painter, a humanist, and fearless when faced with challenges. Payal wants Paru to experience unexplored places, but Paru’s sole aim is to surprise her husband in the Army on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Their journey, from Uttarahalli to Uttarakhand in a car fitted with a bike, is fascinating. Paru, forward-thinking and smart, adapts well by following Payal’s instructions. The duo faces a few challenges, but things eventually turn out well. Along the way, another interesting character, Menon, joins them. The journey becomes even more intriguing as the solo trip turns into a double trip with unexpected twists.

The 62-year-old Paru, after this hectic journey, expresses her desire to continue traveling alone. However, Payal becomes aware of Paru’s health condition, leading to an emotional and captivating turning point in the narrative.

Does Paru reunite with her husband at the Indian Army camp? What happens to her health condition? Does Payal find a meaningful relationship after her first boyfriend, Akash, committed suicide? What role does Menon play in the journey? All these questions are answered as you watch the film.

Deepika Das delivers her best performance yet in #Paru Parvathy. She fits the role perfectly and handles various emotions beautifully.

Poonam Sarnayak, as the 62-year-old mother from Mumbai, plays a strong role, though it is worth noting that Kannada actress Sudharani’s dubbing adds to her appeal. Sudharani or Sudha Belawadi could have been ideal casting choices for this role.

Fawaz Ashraf as Menon brings sweet moments to the film and shows promise for a bright future in the industry. KS Sridhar in a guest role is fitting.

Abin Rajesh’s cinematography is exceptional. Capturing dynamic shots of the moving car and beautiful landscapes from Bengaluru to Uttarakhand, he is sure to win many awards. Hari’s music, with nine songs and an engaging background score, stands out. At least three tunes are hummable, with lyrics beautifully crafted for the situations.

This is a must-watch family film. Producer Premnath and his team have given audiences a rich and memorable cinematic experience.
