Renowned director Om Prakash Rao has announced his 50th directorial venture, Guerrilla WAR, with Loki playing the lead role. The announcement was made on the occasion of the Ugadi festival, along with the release of the film’s poster.
Om Prakash Rao, known for directing films like AK 47, Lockup Death, Kalasipalya, and Huccha, has taken up Guerrilla WAR as his latest project. Lokesh, widely known as “Mandya Star” Loki, has been cast as the film’s lead.
The movie is being produced under the Gangamma Enterprises banner by Ramesh Abbanakuppe (Bidadi) and his associates, with C. Madesh (AVVA) presenting it. Om Prakash Rao has written the story and screenplay, while Deepu P.R. is handling the dialogues. The cinematography is being done by Ravi Kumar, with action direction by Ravi Varma and editing by Laxman Reddy.
According to the director, Guerrilla WAR revolves around a form of combat where a small group uses unconventional strategies against a much larger enemy force. While there are historical instances of such warfare, the film is not a historical drama. Instead, it aims to highlight various challenges faced by women in modern society. The shooting for the film is set to begin in June.
The cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Swastik Shankar, Sudha Belawadi, Chitra Shenoy, and Pooja Gowda. Further details, including the female lead, will be announced in the coming days.
