The Kanasina Raani and action Queen Malashri are back in action after a long gap in ‘Night Curfew’, a thriller film in which she plays the role of a doctor. She is Dr. Durga in the film, and there is a role played by the very popular TV actor Ranjini Raghavan. The film is all set to hit the silver screen on April 12.

Raghavendra Venshi, the director of children’s film Putani Safari, Math, and Vasanthi Nalidaga films, is on an interesting project. As the title suggests, the events occurring during a short period after the night curfew imposition during the Corona Pandemic are the crux of the film. RV researched the proceedings of this pandemic time and drew from similar situations in the past to create a taut thriller. He has completed 95 percent of the shooting in 45 days, with the filming taking place from 6 PM until early the next morning at 5 AM, capturing the proceedings captivatingly. The film has been given a U/A certificate.

Ranjani Raghavan portrays Dr. Veda in the film, marking her fourth film appearance. She had been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to act alongside Malashri Madam. Pramod Shetty, a fan of Malashri’s films since his school days, verified with the director regarding his research work on whether such events had occurred. Working with an admirable personality like Malashri is a gratifying experience, he stated, in his role involving white-collar crime in the film.

Producer BS Chandrasekhar recounted how the film came about and how the shooting progressed smoothly with the right people in the right places. He appealed for cooperation to ensure the success of the film ‘Night Curfew’.

Malashree as Shakti and Ranjani Raghavan as Yukti are joined by Pramod Shetty, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Sahana Sree, Ashwin Ramesh, Vardhan Theerthahalli, Manju Pavagada, Mandya Siddu, Sadananda, Gangaraju, Nithin, Vasanthkumar.C, Baby Vallamanjunath, Jyoti, Rajani, Shivaraj Shetty, Mahesh.M, and Alsoor Rajkumar in their acting endeavors.
