The romantic song Nee Nanna from the film Nidradevi Next Door was released recently by actor Golden Star Ganesh. The song was launched on the Saregama Music channel. Journalist Ranganath Bharadwaj was also present at the event, where members of the film team and other dignitaries spoke after the release.
Produced by Jayaram Devasamudra under the banner Suram Movies and directed by Surag, Nidradevi Next Door stars Praveer and Rishika in lead roles. The film has generated curiosity due to its title. The previously released “Sleepless Anthem” song from the film, launched by Duniya Vijay Kumar, has crossed one million views.
Speaking at the event, producer Jayaram Devasamudra said, “By profession, I am an editor. This is my third film as a producer. I liked the story when the director narrated it and decided to take it forward. The songs in the film have the quality to draw audiences to theatres. I had asked the director to ensure melodious songs are part of the film. The first song, released by Duniya Vijay, has already been well received. Now, the second song has been launched by Ganesh, which is a happy moment for us. I thank Ganesh for supporting a new team and a new effort.”
Nee Nanna is written by Raghavendra Kamath and composed by Nakul Abhyankar. The song was recorded six months ago with vocals by Sonu Nigam. However, due to a controversy involving the singer, the producers decided not to use his voice in the final version. The song will be re-recorded with a different Kannada singer, according to Jayaram Devasamudra.
Director Surag said, “I studied filmmaking at a reputed academy and always wanted to direct my first film in my mother tongue. Producer Jayaram supported that dream and ensured the film was made without any compromises. It’s a great feeling that a romantic hero like Ganesh has launched our romantic track. When we cast Praveer and Rishika, many people said they made a good pair. Music by Nakul Abhyankar and cinematography by Ajay Kulkarni are among the highlights of the film.”
Actor Praveer Shetty said, “Thanks to Ganesh for releasing our song. The music composed by Nakul Abhyankar is impressive. The first track exceeded expectations, and we believe Nee Nanna will also become popular.”
Actress Rishika expressed happiness that a song from her film was launched by Ganesh and thanked the dignitaries and team.
Ganesh, who spoke at the event, said, “The newly released Nee Nanna song is very melodious, and the lead pair look charming in it. Songs alone don’t bring people to theatres — the film must also be good. Our issue is not with any individual, but with language. So, I believe the producers will re-record the song in a Kannada voice that matches the sweetness of this version.” Cinematographer Ajay Kulkarni was also present at the press meet.
In Nidradevi Next Door, Rishika stars opposite Praveer. The film also features Bigg Boss fame Shine Shetty and Shruti Hariharan, along with senior actors K. S. Sridhar and Sudharani in key roles. Others in the cast include Srivatsa, Anoop, Aishwarya Gowda, Master Sujay Ram, Karthik Pattar, and Anurag Patil.
The film features production design by Ullas Haidur, stunt direction by Arjun Raj, and editing by Hemanth Kumar D. Manoj is distributing the film across Karnataka.
