Colors Kannada, known for its emotional and relatable stories that connect with viewers, is now bringing a new serial titled ‘Nanda Gokula’ to its audience. Centered on “a father’s fight to make his children heroes,” this much-anticipated serial ‘Nanda Gokula’ will air from Wednesday, June 4 at 9:00 PM on Colors Kannada.
Nandakumar is an orphan—disciplined, confident, and determined. 25 years ago, he worked at a grocery store owned by brothers Suryakanth and Chandrakanth. He fell in love with and married their only sister, Girija, against their wishes. Viewing him as beneath their status, the brothers disowned them. Determined to prove himself, Nandakumar opened his own grocery store, ‘Girija Stores’, and found success. As a challenge to the brothers, he built ‘Nanda Gokula’—a house directly opposite theirs. This only deepened the existing hatred, jealousy, and rage the brothers felt toward him.
The families remain in constant conflict. Although Girija’s maternal family lives right across the street, there are no loving exchanges when they meet—only harsh glances and hostility. She must face bitterness every day. One misstep from her could spark confrontation both from her husband’s side and from her brothers—making her vulnerable to attack from both ends.

Nandakumar and Girija’s children—Dhanya, Madhava, Keshava, Vallabha, and Raksha—grow up under their father’s strict expectations. Since Nandakumar’s own love marriage led to being cut off from both families, he wants to protect his children from similar pain. Dreaming of a united and happy joint family, he makes his children promise: “Promise me none of you will marry for love!”
But is it easy to live up to such a promise? How will the next generation respond to a father who tries to impose his rigid ideals? Nandakumar dreams of a family like ‘Nanda Gokula’, where everyone lives together happily—but will that dream survive?
Who casts an evil eye on this joint family? ‘Nanda Gokula’ tells the story of generational tension and emotional conflict within a family—one that will resonate with every viewer. Watch it on Colors Kannada.
Produced by Banna Talkies, the cast of ‘Nanda Gokula’ includes Aravind Rao, Amrita Naidu, Ravi Chetan, Raghu Mandya, Abhishek Das, Yashwanth, Vijay Chandra, Uurjita Valtaje, Archana Gaikwad, Navya, Megha, Krishnapriya, Shailaja, and others.
