Director Nam Rushi has released the show reel of his upcoming film Ram Rahim, which is being prepared for theatrical release in February. The announcement was made during a press meet organised to share details about the project.
Speaking at the event, Nam Rushi said that he has stated “do not watch the film” in the show reel and added that there is a reason behind it, which he will explain on the film’s release day. He clarified that this statement is not a gimmick. He also spoke about the challenges involved in making and releasing films and said that he will personally distribute Ram Rahim at an estimated cost of ₹60 lakh without approaching distributors.
Instead of releasing a teaser or trailer, Nam Rushi has released an 11-minute and 22-second show reel on the Nam Rushi YouTube channel. He stated that, to his knowledge, this is the first time in India that a show reel has been released in this format. He added that the language and presentation used in the show reel may appeal to some viewers and may not appeal to others.
Ram Rahim was started two years ago and has now completed filming and reached the release stage. The film revolves around a triangular love story involving a Hindu boy, a Muslim boy, and a Hindu girl. It is also described as a family-oriented film. Nam Rushi reiterated that viewers will understand the reason behind his statement in the show reel after watching the film and that he will explain it on the release day.
Nam Rushi has handled the story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics, choreography, action direction, production, and direction for the film. The cast includes Arun Kyadiger, Kiran Eediga, Rajeshwari, Amaresh Mallapur, S. T. Somashekar, and Bandesh Nayak, along with several new faces who are making their acting debut through this film.
