Present at the press conference were Avinash Vijayakumar, who wrote and directed the story, screenplay, and dialogues, actress Ankita Amar, and music director Gagan Bhaderia.
Hollywood artists like Jilali Raj Kallah, Eric Roberts, and child actor Vedik Kaushik play the lead roles in My Hero. Prakash Belawadi takes on the role of the District Collector, while veteran actor Dattanna portrays a priest. Actress Ankita Amar plays a young woman from Madhya Pradesh.
Speaking about the film, director Avinash Vijayakumar said, “I am originally a theater artist, and this is my first directorial venture. We produced this film through AV Studios. In 2009, our mother produced a film called Chilipili Hakkigalu. My Hero is a concept centered on the exploitation of the underprivileged. There was a recent incident in North Karnataka, and I crafted this screenplay with that in mind. The film includes dialogues in Kannada, English, and Hindi. The caste system still exists in villages and even in different countries, and I have focused on this issue. Produced in Kannada and English, this content-oriented film My Hero will release across the state on August 30, distributed by PVR Inox. I hope to receive support for our film.”
Ankita Amar, a talented anchor and singer, explained that she plays the role of a woman from Madhya Pradesh who works for an NGO. She added, “I went through the Ghats at Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh, which were built by Queen Ahilya Bai, before facing the camera for this film.”
Music director Gagan Bhaderia also spoke about the songs of My Hero, which will be released on August 30.
